About LIPI INVERSE
Lipi Inverse is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer who has lived in Brooklyn, NY since 2018. She was born and grew up in Bogotá, Colombia.
As long as she can remember, Lipi has been in love with cartoons, specifically from the 90s. Since she was a child, Lipi imagined working in the industry of creating cartoons, developing characters, and even making cameos as an illustrated character. Then, she realized that the only way to achieve her dreams was by drawing. She enjoyed illustrating her favorite characters from those TV shows.
Growing up, Lipi´s passion for cartoons became stronger, and she decided to pursue a university career-related to arts to further develop her passion. She studied Graphic Design at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, Colombia, where she used her passion for cartoons, comics, video games, and animation as an inspiration to create attractive illustrations and graphic concepts. She completed her studies in 2017.
Lipi began her career in New York City after she was unexpectedly offered a residency in the United States following her college graduation. Lipi jumped for the opportunity to explore the artists’ community in ''The big apple'', a hub in the world of illustration and animation, and expand her reach beyond Colombia. In 2018, Lipi began working as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for the Casino Video Game Company. In her role, she was outstanding in creating creative concepts for marketing assets for the company, until 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic put a pause on her career. Since then, she has focused on building her drawing skills, building her own career path, portfolio, and pushing forth her vision of illustration with a global reach.
